Add Sections & Products to a Menu
Once a menu exists, fill it with sections (beers, spirits, merch) and the products inside them. How you do it depends on whether the menu is synced to your till. All of this happens in the menu's "Sections" tab.
If the menu is synced to an integrated POS, you don't add anything by hand. Your section headings and products pull through automatically, based on what's marked available to us through the API.
Note: on some POS systems you must also mark the sections and modifiers as available, not just the items. Your POS provider can point you to that setting.
Want an integrated till but a trimmed menu — merch only, or a few items removed? Two ways:
- Build the sections manually with the sync off from the start, or
- Sync everything first, then turn the sync off and remove what you don't want.
Turning Sync on or off happens in the "edit" section of the menus. You can change this at any time.
If the menu isn't integrated, add sections and products one at a time. Make sure your products exist first (Set up your products).
- In the Sections tab, click Create menu section.
- Name the section — beers, spirits, merch — and add a description if it helps.
- Open the section and click Add item. Search your products, pick one, and hit Create menu item. Repeat for everything in that section.

- Build as many sections as the menu needs. Drag sections to set the order customers see them in.
Built a menu you'll want again with small changes? Duplicate it from the Menus list instead of rebuilding item by item — handy when your stalls and circle menus are 90% the same.
If it's not working- Synced items missing. The item — or its section or modifiers — isn't marked available in your POS back office.
- Can't remove an item from a synced menu. Turn the sync toggle off first, then remove it. Or remove it from your POS system directly
- A product won't come up in search. It hasn't been created yet, or it's under a different name — check the Products section.
