The Bar Queue Problem Has a Fix. Are You Using It?

Want to increase bar revenue and make life easier for your F&B teams? If you’re not already using our pre-order function then this may be a good option for you.

Encore Pro integrates with many Point of Sale systems to easily push orders to your till point. If we don’t have an active setup with your system, we also have a really smooth way of setting this up manually and we’d be happy to explain this in more detail.

Once it’s set up, how do we maximize these orders?

It’s all very well having the feature available to customers, but we need to encourage them to use it. Below are a few key tips that have helped clients implement concessions pre-orders in the past!

Customers need to know about it!

Whether that’s an email communication explaining what the feature is and how to use it, or simply signs in venue saying “the queues are too long? next time order in advance”

This could also mean adding a section in the FAQs of your website or even just encouraging staff to communicate the message to customers. If they want to speed up the process they can always order in advance.

Show, don't (just) tell.

It all starts with showing customers how easy this process is, and making sure it’s streamlined from the off. If they can place an order and then pick up the drink at a designated pick-up point, quickly and easily, they will be more likely to use this again and tell their friends.

They also need to know it’s not any more expensive than ordering at the bar. We can even give a discount on preorder menus as an incentive or a special menu discount for members only.

Give them time to cook!

Adding the crowdEngage ticket to a pre-show email further in advance is also beneficial. This gives your customers the chance to order, for example, a week before the show via the email link. They will then be reminded on the day/the day before via the SMS.

Make it a convenience, not a chore.

You can also easily implement “at seat” delivery - crowdEngage pushes customer and seat information directly to your concessions team, so they can deliver a high quality experience (and high quality snacks!)

Some clients have utilised this for their disability concession tickets, so that these customers don’t have to stand and wait (a great way to enhance customer service). Some have used this for members and VIP ticket holders (a nice benefit without needing to offer it for the full house.

Audiences today are tech savvy enough to use these tools - sometimes, they just need a bit of reminding that they can! If you want to learn more about our pre-order functionality, give us a shout!
