Custom Dashboards

Build your own view of ticket sales, audience and campaign performance, and decide who sees it.

What are custom dashboards?

Dashboards are where you put the numbers your team checks every morning. Build your own from scratch: pick the widgets, arrange the layout, and choose who can view or edit it.

A box office lead might want same-day revenue and tickets by price band. A marketing director might want open rate by campaign next to revenue by sales channel. A programmer might want one page that compares shows. Each person can have the view they need.

Finding your dashboards

Click Dashboards in the left sidebar. The page lists every dashboard you have access to, with its description if one has been added. Click a dashboard to open it.

Creating a dashboard

  1. Click Dashboards in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Dashboard in the top-right corner.
  3. Name the dashboard.
  4. Drag widgets from the panel onto the dashboard and arrange them. Drag a widget's corner to resize it.
  5. Dashboards don't save automatically, so save before you leave.

Widgets

The widget panel is headed Drag a widget onto the dashboard. It has two parts.

Build from scratch. Drag one of these onto the dashboard and configure it yourself:

Showing where your customers are

Presets. Ready-made widgets, so you don't have to configure anything:

  • Sales KPIs: Net revenue, Net tickets, Average ticket price, New customers, Returning customers, Unique customers, Average days out
  • Sales trends: Revenue over time, Tickets sold over time, Average ticket price over time
  • Sales breakdowns: Revenue by price band, Tickets by ticket type, Revenue by event day of week, Revenue by venue, Revenue by sales channel
  • Email KPIs: Messages delivered, Open rate, Click rate, Unsubscribe rate
  • Email trends and breakdowns: Open rate over time, Open rate by campaign

Showing where your customers are

The Map widget shows customer behavior geographically as a heatmap, and you can add it to any dashboard. It shows unique customers by distance from your venue.

Who can see and edit a dashboard

Access is set per person, and each person gets either view or edit access.

  • Viewers can open the dashboard but can't change it.
  • Editors can change the widgets and layout.

Dashboards follow show permissions. If a colleague or outside collaborator can only see certain shows, every widget on every dashboard they open is limited to those shows. They can't see numbers for shows outside their access, even on a dashboard someone else built.

To restrict someone to specific shows, see Managing Users and Permissions.

Tips

  • Build one dashboard per audience, not one big one for everybody. A box office lead and a development director shouldn't scroll past each other's numbers.
  • Use a Text block to say what the dashboard is for and what date range it covers.
  • Before you share a dashboard with an outside collaborator, open it and check it looks right when limited to their shows.
